Dear Families,

In this unprecedented time, we want you to know that we are here for you. As a company, we want to ensure that everyone continues to stay healthy and safe. We care deeply about our families and employees and are taking all the necessary precautions to ensure that safety comes first.

As part of the precautions we are pleased to let you know that Governor Murphy signed an order on Friday authorizing all health care professionals to provide services using telehealth. This includes any services that are appropriate under the standard of care. Additionally, the order waives any regulation regarding a HIPAA compliant telehealth platform, thereby allowing such apps as FaceTime and Zoom etc.

We will be reaching out to you to discuss if this is an appropriate course of treatment for your child. If your child is not a candidate for remote therapy, if you or another responsible member of your household is willing and able to act on behalf of the therapist to facilitate the therapy that may allow us to provide remote therapy.

We will still be having therapists who are willing and able, go to in-person sessions for those families who are willing and able to have in home sessions and/ or telehealth is not an option for them, provided that they follow hygiene and safety standards as delineated by the CDC and WHO. If this is a better option for you please update your BCBA and we will see if we can accommodate you.

As far as the governors order regarding closure of non essential businesses, the order clearly states that it does not limit the provision of healthcare or medical services and therefore does not apply to our therapists.

Please be aware that in order for remote therapy to be done you will need a device with a FaceTime, Zoom etc. that your child can use for the duration of the session. Although the order allows for non HIPAA compliant platforms to be used, we will need a waiver from you stating your approval.

We look forward to continuing to provide and ensure quality services to your child.

Stay safe, stay positive and please contact us with any questions!
